Application Fee :  (i) Candidate shall pay the application fee of Rs.300/- online using  Debit Card / Credit Card.  (ii) SC /ST / Female Candidates / Persons with Disabilities / Ex-servicemen (1st time applying for civil post after serving any rank)  are exempted from paying application fees.  (iii)                The application fee paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.  5.       Candidates may be offered a higher or lower grade than what is advertised based on their working experience, research track record and overall assessment at the time of interview and recommendation of the Selection Committee.

 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES 1. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply. 2. SCHEME OF EXAMINATION: (i) There will be three separate Computer Based Examinations consisting of Objective Type Multiple Choice questions, for the posts with minimum Educational Qualification of Matriculation, Higher Secondary and Graduation & above levels. The details of subjects, marks and number of questions subject-wise will be as given below:-

SELECTION PROCEDURE: a) Recruitment to Selection Posts will be made through Written Examination in Computer Based Mode consisting of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions. b) All candidates who register themselves in response to this advertisement by the closing date and time and whose applications are found to be in order and are provisionally accepted by the Commission as per the terms and conditions of this Notice of Examination, will be assigned Roll numbers and issued Admission Certificate (AC) for appearing in the Computer Based Examination. c) Applications which have blurred/ no photographs, blurred/ no signature/ fee not received/ incomplete application/ etc. will be rejected. d) Admission Certificates for all stages of examination will be issued online on the websites of concerned Regional/ Sub-Regional Office of the Commission. Candidates are therefore advised to regularly visit the websites of the Commission Headquarters (i.e. https://ssc.nic.in) and concerned Regional/ Sub-Regional office of the Commission under whose jurisdiction the examination centres opted by the candidate are located. e) Candidates who apply for more than one post in the same Region/ apply for different posts in different Regions/ apply for posts of different levels (Matriculation, Higher Secondary and Graduation and above) in the same or different Regions are „common candidates‟. Such „Common candidates‟ will be issued Admission Certificates for all posts by all Regional/ Sub-Regional Offices.


g) Common candidates must appear only once in the examination for one level of post, otherwise, their candidature shall be cancelled. If a candidate has applied for two levels of posts e.g. for Matriculation and Higher Secondary, he/ she will have to appear once for each level of examination (i.e. once for Matriculation level Post-categories and once for Higher Secondary level Post-categories). Marks obtained by such common candidates will be used by other Regional/ Sub-Regional Offices for preparing the Merit List for that level of post(s) in their respective Regional/ Sub-Regional Offices. h) Candidates scoring less than cut-off marks as given below will not be considered for the next stage of recruitment: 18 UR : 35% OBC/ EWS : 30% Other categories : 25% j) Depending on the number of vacancies of a particular category of post, candidates will be shortlisted for the next stage of scrutiny based on the score and merit of candidates in the Computer Based Examination in the following ratio: (a) In the ratio of 1:20, for up to 5 vacancies for any category of posts. (b) In the ratio of 1:10, for more than 5 vacancies for any category of posts, subject to minimum 100. k) The candidates who are shortlisted for the next stage of scrutiny will be required to submit self attested copies of all the supporting documents in respect of Educational Qualification (EQ), Experience, Category, Age, Age-relaxation, etc. (as applicable) in hard copy along with the print out of their online application form to the respective Regional/ Sub-Regional Office(s) to which the Post-Category belongs. l) Skill Test, wherever prescribed for any category of post will be conducted from amongst the candidates whose hard copies of documents are received and found in order at Scrutiny stage, by the Regional/ Sub-Regional Offices of the Commission. m) Regional Office will call the required number of candidates (in the ratio of 1:10) for Document Verification (DV) for a particular category of post subject to availability of eligible candidates. n) A single Document Verification will be done for a candidate who has applied for more than one post of one level (e.g. Matriculation) in the same recruitment Phase. Document Verification of such candidates will be conducted at the Regional/ Sub-Regional Office having jurisdiction over the Examination Centre from where the candidate has appeared for the Computer Based Examination. n) The information furnished by the candidates in their applications will be verified by the Commission with their original documents after the Computer Based Examination. During verification of documents, if it is found that any information furnished by the candidate in the application form is wrong, his/ her candidature will be rejected forthwith. No appeal or representation against such rejection of candidature will be entertained. The candidates should ensure that they have furnished correct information in the application form. o) Scores/ Marks of the candidates will only be disclosed/ made available on the website of the concerned Regional/ Sub-Regional Offices at the time of declaration of Final Result for the particular Category of post.


p) SC, ST, OBC, ESM, EWS and PwD candidates, who are selected on their own merit without relaxed standards, will not be adjusted against the reserved share of vacancies. Such candidates will be accommodated against the general/ unreserved vacancies in the post as per their position in the overall merit or vacancies earmarked for their category, whichever is advantageous to them. The reserved vacancies will be filled up separately from amongst the eligible SC, ST, OBC, ESM, EWS and PwD candidates. q) SC, ST, OBC, ESM, EWS and PwD candidates who qualify on the basis of relaxed standards viz. age limit, experience or qualifications, permitted number of chances, extended zone of consideration, etc., irrespective of his/ her merit position, is to be counted against reserved vacancies and not against un-reserved vacancies. Such candidates may also be recommended at the relaxed standards to the extent of number of vacancies reserved for them, to make up for the deficiency in the reserved quota, irrespective of their rank in the order of merit. In so far as cases of ex-serviceman are 19 concerned, deduction of the military service rendered from the age of ex-servicemen is permissible against the reserved or unreserved posts and such exemption will not be termed as relaxed standards in regard to age. Similarly for PwD candidates, relaxation of 10 years in upper age limit will not be termed as relaxed standards. r) A person with disability who is selected on his/ her own merit can be appointed against an unreserved vacancy provided the post is identified suitable for Persons with Disability of relevant category. s) Success in the examination confers no right of appointment unless Government is satisfied after such enquiry as may be considered necessary that the candidate is suitable in all respects for appointment to the service/ post. t) The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. Their admission at all stages of the examination will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If, on verification, at any time before or after the written examination, it is found that they do not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature for the examination will be cancelled. u) Candidates selected for appointment are liable to serve anywhere in India i.e. all these posts carry All India Service Liability (AISL). v) Candidates on final selection may be allotted a State/ UT/ Zone by the concerned User Ministry/ Department/ Office. Such candidates may be required to acquire the proficiency in local language of the allotted State/ UT/ Zone for confirmation of the candidates to the allotted posts by the concerned User Ministry/ Department/ Office.

(ii) Applications must be submitted in online mode only at the official website of SSC Headquarters i.e. https://ssc.nic.in. Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (Non-creamy Layer) respectively in respect to posts reserved for them. Relaxation of age for Ex- Servicemen, Person with Disabilities and serving employees (both external and internal) shall be as per Government directives.

NB: Selected candidates will be posted anywhere in India where Centres/Branch/Offices of the institute are situated.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS 1. Interested candidates must apply only through the prescribed application format available in the Institute website: www.isical.ac.in/jobs.php. 2. Candidates who are employed in Government/Public Sector Undertakings/ Semi Government should forward their applications through proper channel or bring No Objection Certificate from their employer if called for the written test/ skill test failing which they will not be allowed to appear for written test/ skill test. 3. The upper age limit as specified in the advertisement will be reckoned as on 01.08.2019. 4. Self-attested photocopies of testimonials in respect of age (X/XII Std. certificate or Birth Certificate issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths or Transfer/ School leaving/ Matriculation Certificate issued by the school last attended/recognized educational board), qualification, experience, Caste Certificate (for reserved categories only), Disability (40% or more) certificate must be submitted along with the duly filled in application form. 5. Experience wherever prescribed means experience gained after acquiring the prescribed essential qualification. Experience certificate issued by the competent authority should clearly indicate the dates (from and to) stating nature of job performed by the applicant. 6. Mere fulfillment of minimum qualification and experience required for a post does not entitle the candidate to be called for written test /skill test. The Institute reserves the right to shortlist and restricts the number of candidates to be called for written test / and skill test to a reasonable limit, on the basis of appropriate qualifications and experience. The number of positions/posts may also vary as per the need of the Institute at the time of recruitment. The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill the posts mentioned above without assigning any reason.


7. No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates regarding their test/ selection/appointment. Canvassing in any form will disqualify a candidate. 8. The selected candidates will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Institute as amended from time to time. 9. Candidates appointed will be governed by the New Contributory Pension Scheme introduced w.e.f. 01.01.2004. 10. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Persons with Disabilities/ExSM will be as per Government of India rules.They should also be in possession of the certificates in the prescribed format in support of their claim. 11. OBC (NCL) certificate should preferably be as per the format given in G.o.I., D.o.P.T., O.M. No.36036/2/2013-Estt. (Res.), dated 30.05.2014. If any selected candidate is found to have submitted his OBC certificate in any other format with the application, he/she will be required to submit a fresh certificate in the required format, issued by the competent authority, before joining the Institute. 12. E-Mail ID and Mobile Number: The E-Mail ID and Mobile Number entered/written in the application form should remain valid/active until final selection. 13. PHOTOGRAPH: One recent coloured photograph (size should be 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm) preferably with white background to be pasted in the blank space provided in the application format. 14. The applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹500/- (excluding Bank charges) for each post {applicable for Unreserved (UR), Other Backward Class (OBC) & Economically Weaker Section (EWS)} candidates. 17. If any information furnished by the candidates is found false at any stage, his/her appointment will be cancelled. 18. An application received in any format other than the one specified above and without the required Documents/Testimonials shall be liable for rejection. 19. Any dispute with regard to the selection/recruitment process will be subject to Courts having jurisdiction over Kolkata. 20. Essential Qualifications: Essential: 1. Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized University/Board. 2. (i) The application/challan form will be available on PGI website from _17.07.2019 to _04.08.2019 (11.59 PM) and the last date of deposit of application fee in the bank and submission of online application/updation of challan receipt is _06.08.2019. (ii) Date of written Examination, result, eligibility or any other instructions pertaining to these posts will be uploaded on website as per the approved guidelines followed in the Institute. (iii) The written examination for all the posts will be conducted in English language only. (iv) Date for Downloading of admit card will also be uploaded on website. SELECTION PROCEDURE:- 1. After the closing of last date of applications, the eligibility of the candidates for written examination will be based on i) whether the candidate has deposited the requisite application fee in the bank or not?, ii) whether after depositing of fee in the bank it has been entered and updated in the application form or not? iii) after reconciliation with the bank statement. NOTE: If all the above three conditions are affirmative then the candidate is provisionally eligible to appear in the written examination. If the candidate doesn’t fulfill any of the three conditions, he/she is not eligible. The eligibility of the candidates regarding educational qualification, age etc. will not be checked at this stage because no certificates/documents are being called from the candidates alongwith online application forms. The eligible candidates will be allowed to sit in the written examination, which will be held in Chandigarh only. The Date of Examination, Centre of Examination, Roll Number and Instructions for candidates etc. will be intimated to the candidates in Admit Cards, which will be available on the website of the PGIMER i.e. www.pgimer.edu.in.




HOW TO APPLY:- ONLINE MODE: 1. The candidates applying for the post should first confirm their eligibility as per recruitment rules as per advertisement on the website of the Institute i.e. www.pgimer.edu.in. 2. All eligible candidates should apply online www.pgimer.edu.in before the last date for registration of application form. D. RESOLUTION OF TIE CASES:- 8 3. Before filling up Online Application, a candidate must have his/her photograph scanned in the .jpg format in such a manner that each file should not exceed 500 KB and must not be less than 3 KB in size for the photograph as it has to be uploaded at the time of filling of online form. 4. Candidates are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID/mobile number which should be kept active during the recruitment process. The candidates should ensure that the email ID is not shared or disclosed to any body. In case, a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying online. The e-mail ID is required for the initial registration. The intimation regarding written examination, admit card, result of written examination, document verification, final selection result etc. will be given through notice on website only. Such information will not be given through e-mail. However, SMS will be sent on registered mobile number. 5. The candidate should fill his/her application form available on the PGIMER website. He/She should fill all the fields of application form carefully. No field should be left blank. After filling application form, the candidate should take out a print of duly filled in application form and challan form (triplicate) and deposit the application fee after 24 hours in any State Bank of India branch as detailed in column 8. 6. The candidate should retain with him/her the printout of duly filled in and uploaded application form. The same is to be sent to the Institute/PGIMER alongwith his/her offline application, which is to be sent only in case he/she declared qualified in the written examination. 7. No request for change of any particular on the online application form shall be entertained after submission of application form. After final submission of application form, no change will be allowed. Candidate will be responsible for any mistake in the data of application form. 8. Candidates can go to any Branch of State Bank of India with the fee Payment Challan duly filled in and pay the prescribed Application Fee in the “Power Jyoti” PUL current account of PGIMER. The account number of PGIMER for recruitment is 35700657347. The candidates after having deposited the fee in the bank must ensure that they have Triplicate Fee Payment Challan with Journal No./Challan No. given by the bank on it. They should mention this Journal/Challan number on the space provided in the application form and keep this challan form with them for future use. The application fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
