SCHEME OF EXAMINATION: Candidates are advised to refer to APPENDIX – II for Detailed Scheme and pattern for the Written Examinations. Rejection list of candidates who do not qualify for the post as per the advertised criteria will be uploaded in the SPSC website on 04/03/2019 and if any of the rejected candidates have reservation on rejection of application, they should submit their grievances along with justification to the office of the Controller, SPSC w.e.f. 06/03/2019 to 20/03/2019. 10. Application fee amounting to Rs 150/- only may be paid online through credit/debit card, Net Banking by Visa/Mastercard. The amount once deposited shall not be refunded or adjusted against any other purpose. Candidates belonging to PWD Category are exempted from paying the fees. 11. e-Admit Cards can be downloaded and printed by the eligible candidates after a Notice for the same will be published by the Commission in the official website of the Commission. 12. Candidates are directed to bring a Photo Identity proof like (Aadhaar Card, Voters Card, Driving License) alongwith valid e-Admit cards in the examination centre for proof of identity. 13. Those candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for the scrutiny of documents before the conduct of viva-voce/interview in the ratio as fixed by the Commission. Short listed candidates are required to submit attested Photocopies of all relevant documents on the dates specified by the Commission. 14. No TA/DA is admissible for attending the examination/Interview. 15. Admission at all the stages of examination for which candidates are admitted by the Commission viz. Written Examination and Interview Test will be purely provisional and is subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If, on verification at any stage of the examination process, it is found that candidates do not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature for the post will be cancelled by the Commission without notice. 16. Educational Qualification :
NURSES: (Women)  A) Successful training for a period of not less than three years in General Nursing of men and women and for a period of not less than six months in Midwifery training in both cases to be undergone in an institution approved by the State Government under rule 37 of the rules made under sub-section (2) of section 11 of the Madras Nurses and Midwives Act 1926 with qualifications prescribed for registration as Nurse and Maternity Assistant under the said Act (or)  A foreign training which is considered by the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services to be equivalent or superior to the above training or possession of a basic degree in Nursing from a University or institution recognised by UGC for the purpose of its financial grant.  B) But for appointment as a Nurse, a person who possesses the above qualifications or only the qualification in general nursing and who has rendered satisfactory military service shall be preferred: Provided that, if a person who has undergone training only in general nursing is not willing to undergo the training in Gynecology and Obstetrics, she shall not be appointed to the service.

NURSES: (MEN) A) (i) A successful training for a period of not less than three years in General Nursing in an institution approved by the State Government and (ii) Successful completion of training in Psychiatry for a period of six months after successful completion of training in General Nursing in the case of candidates admitted for training on or after the 1st January 1952. B) Possession of basic degree in Nursing from a University or institution recognised by UGC for the purpose of its financial grant.


Explanation: For the DGNM Course from 2015-2016 onwards as per the Indian Nursing Council New Regulation, the course period is 3 years inclusive of 6 months Internship Note: Candidates possessing the above qualifications on the date of notification alone shall apply for this post.

CONDITIONS AND QUALIFICATION: a. The claims of the candidates with regard to the date of birth, educational/technical qualifications and community are accepted only on the information furnished by them in their on-line application without physical verification of their claims. Their candidature therefore will be provisional and subject to the Board satisfying itself, about their age, educational/technical qualifications, community etc. The candidature is therefore, provisional at all stages and the Board reserves the right to reject any candidature at any stage, even after the selection has been made. b. Candidates who consider themselves eligible to appear in an examination may apply and write the examination at their own risk, with an undertaking/declaration to that effect viz. before appearing for the examination, it should be ensured by the candidate that on the date of notification of a post he fulfils all the conditions in regard to age, educational qualifications, etc. as provided in the rules. The candidature of candidates, if found ineligible shall stand cancelled, even after declaration of the result. c. Candidate shall not have any adverse character or antecedents. d. Candidate shall not have more than a living spouse e. Candidates already working in Government or Public Sector Undertaking or Local Bodies shall produce a No Objection Certificate, as in Annexure-5 of this notification, from their appointing authority, at the time of certificate verification (if provisionally selected)
f. The Differently Abled persons should submit copy of the Physical Fitness certificate specifying the nature of physical handicap and the degree of disability when called for by the Medical Services Recruitment Board. If selected, they should produce a Fitness Certificate obtained from the Medical Board as in Annexure-7 of this notification. [Section 20 (5) of Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act 2016]
g. If a candidate claims equivalent Qualification, the onus of providing the same rests with the candidate. h. The selection for appointment to the above said post is purely provisional subject to final Orders on pending Writ Petitions, if any, filed at Hon’ble High court of and Hon’ble Madurai Bench of Madras High Court.

PROCEDURE OF SELECTION: Selection will be made based on the marks obtained in the written examination, duly following the rules of reservation and communal rotation of Government of Tamil Nadu.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY

1. The candidate must bring the printed E-Admit Card at the Examination Centre. The candidate is also required to bring one of the PHOTO IDENTIFICATION CARD (not photocopy or scanned copy)in original viz. Voter Identity Card, DrivingLicence, PAN Card, Passport, Aadhaar Card, etc. along with this E-Admit Card. The identity of the candidate will be matched fromthe original proof. In case your EAdmit Card is without photograph, you are advised to bring two recent passport sizephotographs in the examination centre(same as uploaded in online application). 2. The candidate’s photograph and signature should be legibly printed and visible on the photo ID card and should match the name on EAdmit Card. The Photo ID card should not be damaged or smudged. 3. Candidates will not be allowed to enter at the Test Centre without valid E-Admit Card and Photo Identication card as mentioned above. 4. No request for change in theDate, Time and Examination Centre will be considered under any circumstances. The E-Admit Card will be valid only for the test date and session time as specied above at page no. 1. 5. No candidate shall be permitted in the examination centre without carrying this E-Admit Card and ID proof (in original) under any circumstances. In case, change in the name by the candidate after/before marriage, the candidate must bring the original matriculation certicate along with marriage registration certicate/other documentary proof (in original ) along with original Identication Card to establish the identity after marriage. The identity of the candidate will be matched from the proofs to be provided by the candidate. Candidates are allowed to carry only E-Admit Card and Identity proof inside the examination centre.

6. The E-Admit Card is made available on the web site https://www.esic.nic.in for downloading& printing by the candidates.This E-Admit Card iscomputer generated and shall not be sent by post. 7. Candidates are required to reach their allotted exam centres on reporting time as mentioned in the E-Admit Card (which is 1 and ½ hours in advance) so that entry formalities and compulsory physical frisking can be done smoothly. The main gate of examination centre will be closed half an hour before the commencement of the examination time. No late coming is allowed. Candidates are, therefore, advised to locate their test centre and its accessibility at least a day before the test so that they can reach the centre on time on the day of the test. 8. No candidate shall be allowed to leave the examination hall before the completion of the Computer based Test/Examination. 9. Candidate’s admission to all the stages of the examination is purely PROVISIONAL subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of E-Admit Card to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been nally considered by E.S.I.C. 10. Candidates are required to register themselves on Biometric System before commencement of Test, therefore, for capturing Bio-metric
data, candidates are advised not to apply any external material on their hands/foot like Mehandi, ink etc. 11. Once the Biometric attendance/Capturing of photograph are done at the Registration Desk, the candidate should proceed to the allocated computer node and should not leave the Examination Room/Hall before end of the examination. After the Computer Based Test (CBT) is over the candidates should appear for bio-metric re-verication before leaving the computer lab. The candidate should ensure that biometric image and photograph are captured properly during bio-metric verication as your bio-metrics captured during CBT may be veried during the remaining stages of selection process. 12. Rough Sheet(s) will be provided to candidate for rough work, which will have to be returned to the invigilators after end of the examination. Candidate should clearly write his/her name and Roll No. on each rough sheet. 13. User ID and password for the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be provided to the candidate 10 minutes before commencement of the test/exam at their respective seat. The Candidate will be required to enter Login ID and Password which will be provided at examination centre to appear for Computer Based Test. Please ensure that your name, photograph appearing on the computer screen are correct after login. 14. In order to familiarize with the Computer Based Test/Examination, the candidates are advised to go through the demo (mock test) available on the website https://www.esic.nic.in/. 15. The candidates should check the particulars viz., Name, Date of Birth, Category, Sub-category, etc mentioned in E-Admit Card carefully and also eligibility in all respects as per recruitment in Advertisement. The registered candidates may log grievances, if any, with Recruitment Help Desk Tel: 18002660719 or Email:ESICPN@gmail.com. In case of grievance w. r. t. particulars i.e., Name, Date of Birth, Category, Sub-category, any admit card related query, etc as mentioned in online application is not resolved, then the candidate is advised to personally report at the ‘Facilitation Counter’ on 25.02.2019 from 10.00 AM to 2.00 PM with copies of documentary proofs i.e., copy of online application form, certicate, testimonials, etc along with two (2) passport/stamp size photographs and photo identity card so that necessary corrections are made. The address of the ‘Facilitation Counter’will be posted on ESIC’s website for information tocandidates. 16. Candidates must refrain from creating any obstruction during the conduct of examination. If any candidate is found obstructing the conduct of the examination or creating disturbances at the examination venue, his/her candidature shall be summarily cancelled. Such candidate shall also be liable to be debarred from future examinations of the E.S.I.C and legal proceedings could be initiated against him/her. 17.
