MALE NURSE:

Qualification: a) Diploma in General Nursing or b) Bachelor of Science in Nursing as approved by Indian Nursing Council or c) Diploma in Operation Theatre Technique or equivalent or d) Certificate in relevant subject from an Institute recognized by the Central or the State Government. Four years relevant experience after completion of educational/technical qualification i.e. degree/diploma/certificate course.

Terms of Employment: 1). Initial period of contract shall be for a period of 5 months or 14 months starting from October/November, 2018 depending upon the need and suitability of the candidates. Based on the requirement, the contract can also be extended by few months. 2). Contract wages of Rs.27,150/- (fixed) per month for the entire duration of contract for those who are going to Antarctica on NCAOR contract for the first time. Contract wages of Rs. 36,200/- (fixed) per month for the entire duration of contract for those who already have been to Antarctica on NCAOR contract.
3). Selected candidates as member of team will be entitled for free boarding & lodging onboard ship and at Antarctica with special polar clothing. They will be entitled for special Hardship allowance(HDA) of Rs. 1500/- per day during summer season and Rs. 2000/- per day during winter season for the actual duration of stay in Antarctica. Special Hardship allowance rates are subject to revision in accordance with subsequent government order. • Winter season will be 1st March to 30th November of each calendar year • Summer season will be 1st December to 28th / 29th February of succeeding calendar year 4). Selected candidates depending on whether for short term or long term shall be entitled for special kit allowance of Rs. 20000/- (short term) and Rs. 30000/- (long term) subject to production of original vouchers.
5). Group Personal Accident Insurance Coverage upto 25 lakhs for the selected candidates will be provided by NCAOR for the expedition period. 6). Short listed candidates will have to undergo Medical Examination at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and Pre-Antarctic Snow Ice Acclimatisation training at ITBP, Auli (near Joshimath, Garhwal, Himalayas) for about 15 days. The dates will be informed by NCAOR later. 7). On final selection the candidates will be required to sign a contract with NCAOR. 8). Selected candidates will participate in the Antarctic expedition as team members and will have to perform all the routine duties and jobs related to expedition as assigned by the Leader of Expedition from time to time.

Terms & Conditions for Medical Officers & Paramedical Staff: (i) Age Limit: Maximum 65 years of age as on closing date of application for all categories (General/OBC/SC/ST/PWD) of candidates. (ii) Period of Engagement: The appointment will be initially for 01(one) year which may be extended for another maximum 02(two) years. The extension will however be considered after evaluation of performance every year. (iii) Honorarium: As per Column (5) of Table A. (viii) Termination of Contract: The assignment shall remain terminable by giving one month’s Notice from either side. (ix) Leave: Only 8 (eight) days’ Casual Leave, 2 (two) days’ Restricted Holiday (as per DVC Leave Calendar) and 10 days Commuted Leave (against Medical Certificate) per year may be granted, but no encashment of leave is admissible. Maternity Benefit leave may be allowed as per Maternity Benefit Act 1961. No other leave is admissible. (x) Selection Process: Through Interview/Skill Test/Screening etc. Where the number of applications received in response to the Employment Notification is large and it will not be convenient or possible for DVC to conduct written test or interview for all those candidates, DVC has the right to shortlist the candidates to be called for Written/Skill Test or Interview or both on the basis of marks in highest qualifying examination and/or experience as prescribed in this Notification.

Miscellaneous:
(a) During the period of contractual engagement in DVC, whatsoever, it may be as in case of regular employee, Leave Travel Assistance (LTA) will not be applicable. (b) Their services are transferable to any DVC Project/Field Formation. (c) EPF provision as applicable to be complied with as per Employee Provident Fund & Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1952 & rules made there under. Also, OBC (NCL) candidates will have to give a self-undertaking indicating that they belong to OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category at the time of Interview/Skill Test/Screening. (v) Candidature is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment process or after recruitment, if any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or not in conformity with eligibility criteria mentioned in the Employment Notification. The decision of DVC in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of online

No Age relaxation would be available to SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for unreserved vacancies. 3) Permissible relaxation of upper age limit as per Government orders as well as category S. Mode of Selection: (i) SC, ST, OBC and PH candidates, who are selected on their own merit without relaxed standards, along with candidates belonging to other communities, will not be adjusted against the reserved share of vacancies. Such SC, ST, OBC and PwBD candidates will be accommodated against the general/unreserved vacancies in the post as per their position in the overall Merit List or vacancies earmarked for their category, whichever is advantageous to them. The reserved vacancies will be filled up separately from amongst the eligible SCs, STs, OBCs and PwBD candidates who are lower in
merit than the last general candidate on merit list of unreserved category but otherwise found suitable for appointment by relaxed standard. (ii) A person with benchmark disability who qualifies the AIIMS, Jodhpur examination under General standards can be appointed against a reserved vacancy provided the post is identified suitable for person with disability of relevant category. (iii) An Ex-Serviceman or a person with benchmark disability category candidates who qualifies on the basis of relaxed standards viz. age limit, experience or qualifications, permitted number of chances in written examination, extended zone of consideration, etc. is to be counted against reserved vacancies and not against general vacancies subject to fitness of such candidate for selection. Such candidates may also be recommended at the relaxed standards to the extent the number of vacancies reserved for them, to make up for the deficiency in the reserved quota, irrespective of their rank in the order of merit. In so far as cases of Ex-Serviceman are concerned, deduction from the age of Ex- Serviceman is permissible against the reserved or unreserved posts and such exemption cannot be termed as relaxed standards in regard to age. (iv) Success in the examination confers no right of appointment unless Government is satisfied after such enquiry as may be considered necessary that the candidate is suitable in all respects of appointment to the service/post. (v) The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. Their admission at all stages of the examination will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. if, on verification, at any time before or after the written examination, it is found that they do not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature for the examination will be cancelled by the AIIMS, Jodhpur. (vi) The qualifying marks for Recruitment Examination will be 50% for UR, 45% for OBC and 40% for SC & ST.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
Stage-1 Preliminary (Screening) Test: The applicants who fulfill the requirements for the post will be called for Stage-1 Preliminary (Screening) Test consisting of 50 Multiple choice Questions (Choice of four answers) (Mathematics – 20 Questions, Science – 20 Questions and General Awareness – 10 Questions) for one (01) hour duration. Note: (1) Candidates will be awarded 03 Marks for each correct answer and 01 Mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. (2) Test may be conducted in single/multiple sessions. (3) For the posts reserved for SC/ST/OBC, Candidates scoring less than (<) 30% marks in Stage-1 will be screened-out and for the posts which are un-reserved, Candidates scoring less than (<) 40% marks in Stage-1 will be screened-out.


Stage-2 Advance Test: All candidates screened in Stage-I will be allowed to undertake an advance test in their respective trade. • The test will comprise 50 Multi Choice Questions (Choice of four answers). ‘3’ Marks will be awarded for each correct answer and ‘1’ mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Test will be of two (02) hours duration. • A merit list will be prepared of candidates after Stage-2 based upon Scores obtained in Stage-2 only.

Stage-3 Skill Test: • Based on the merit list prepared after Stage-2, Candidates will be shortlisted for Skills test. • Candidates clearing the Skills Test will be shortlisted and empanelled in order of merit based on marks secured in Stage-2.

MGENERAL INSTRUCTIONS 1. Before applying for the post, candidate should ensure that he/she fulfill all the eligibility norms. 2. Candidates should possess the prescribed qualification from a recognized University/Educational Institution and experience wherever required as on the date of applying for the post. 3.
