Terms & conditions for appointment of Para-medical candidates on contract basis- 1. The candidate, selected on contract basis will govern under contractual terms and condition and they have no right for regular appointment against the post. 2. The Staff appointed on the basis of contract will be given remuneration as per Railway Board’s letter no. 2017/Trans/01/Policy/Pt. I, dated 12/04/18.

3. The contract period will be starts from the date of taking over the charge of the post up to 31/03/19 or extension of work-charged post or availability of regular staff whichever earlier. 4. During the Contract, No work at other place will be allowed, except DLW Central Hospital. 5. Candidate has right for their bright and better future/ higher post; they have freedom to break the contract by giving 14 days prior notice to the administration. The service may be terminated any time by the administration without any prior notice or any reason. 6. The candidate should required to be report to Conference Hall, Central Hospital, Diesel Locomotive Works, Varanasi on the date of interview between 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM .. If more applicants will present for interview, the rest of candidates would have to stay next day. No TA/DA will be paid for the Interview 7. At the time of Interview candidate will require to produce Original Certificate Educational/Technical/Experience qualification in prescribed format & also required to be submit self attested copies of one set of all certificates and Degree to this office at the time of interview. 8. SC/ST/OBC candidate will also produce original caste-certificate issued by competent authority in prescribed format (Age count on date of Notification issued). The list of selected candidate will be published on notice board of this office very soon.
9. No any facilities i.e. Railway pass, Quarter, Leave etc. shall be given to contractual staff. As per Railway Board’s letter no. 2017/Trans/01/Policy/Pt. I, dated 12/04/18 only Maternity leave will be given to female staff. 10. Priority will be given to candidates having experiences specially in Govt. Institution. 11. The engagement will be terminated forthwith without any notice in case required certificate are found fake/false at any stage. If any false information is furnished or if there is any suppression of factual information in the application form, the engagement shall be liable to be terminated 12. Selected candidate will has work as like regular staff. He should be performing routine work as well as casual work, whenever required. During contract period, the selected candidate will not allow to engage himself/herself in another job on part time or regular basis. 13. As per rules, SC/ST candidates will be given relaxation in the upper age limit of five years and & OBC candidates will be given relaxation in the upper age limit three Years. 14. Except the above conditions contractual staff will have to follow the other guidelines, from time to time issued by Railway Board as well as the competent authority.

MODE OF SELECTION: (i) Eligible candidates will be required to appear in the Written Test in Hindi / English on the appointed date. The duration of the test would be two hours. (ii) The minimum qualifying marks in the written test for unreserved posts will be determined based on 50 percentile score. For SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy Layer)/PWD candidates, the minimum qualifying marks will be 40 percentile score. The qualifying marks will be calculated separately for each post/discipline. Candidates, who qualify in the written test, will be shortlisted for skill test / trade test in order of merit, at the ratio of 1:3 for each post. (iii) Skill Test / Trade Test shall be qualifying in nature. The weightage of written test will be 100%. For final selection, merit lists of the candidates, who qualify in the Skill Test / Trade Test, will be drawn on the basis of marks secured in the written test.


APPLICATION FEE: (i) Candidates belonging to General/OBC category will be required to pay Application Fee of Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only). Candidates will have to bear the Bank charges, if any in addition to the applicable Application fee. (ii) SC/ST/PWD/ESM/Departmental candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee.

MODE OF PAYMENT OF FEE: State Bank of India (SBI) has been authorized to collect the application fee through SB Collect on behalf of SAIL/RSP. Candidates will be required to pay Application Fee through Net Banking or Credit / Debit Card or System generated Challan Form, after filling the required details in the online application at www.sail.co.in. In case of payment through Challan Form, the SBI branches will accept the fee from 05/11/2018 to 04/12/2018 during working hours. Fee shall not be collected by any other mode. Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

During the training period, they will be paid consolidated pay of Rs.10700/- per month for the 1st year and Rs.12200/- per month for the 2nd year of training. On successful completion of training, they shall be considered for regular employment in S-3 grade in the Scale of Pay of Rs.16800-3%-24110/- (Pay scale under revision w.e.f. 01/01/2017). During the period of training, they will also get medical facility for self, spouse and dependent children, leave etc. as per rules of the company

SELECTION METHODOLOGY: 5.1 The candidates meeting the criteria will be shortlisted for the selection process. The selection process will comprise of written test for 150 marks. 5.2 The eligible candidates will be required to appear for written tests (Objective type) consisting of: Part I: General Aptitude: 50 marks – comprises of general mental ability and aptitude to logical reasoning, analytical, comprehension ability, basic numeracy, data interpretation skills and general knowledge. Part II: Technical Aptitude: 100 marks – consists of Technical/Professional Knowledge Test with 100 questions having specific questions from respective discipline.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR WRITTEN TEST: 6.1 The candidates have to produce a valid photo identity proof such as Aadhar Card, PAN card, Driving License, Voter Id etc. while appearing for the written test. 6.2 The duration of the test shall be for 150 minutes, i.e, 2 ½ hours. All questions carry equal marks (1 mark). Wrong & multiple answers would result in ¼ negative marks. 6.3 The venue for the written test will be at Bengaluru. The exact date and time shall be communicated in the Admit Card for written test and will also be displayed in the BEL website. 4 6.4 The final list of Non Executive posts will be prepared based on the cumulative marks (both Part I
and Part II put together) scored by the candidate in the written test. However, the candidature of the applicant will be provisional and is subject to verification of Certificates /Testimonials submitted by him/her. 6.5 The shortlist list of Executive posts for the interview will be prepared based on the cumulative marks (both Part I and Part II put together) scored by the candidate in the written test.
