Activity Dates
1 Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted on 19/07/2019, 20/07/2019 and 21/07/2019
2 Candidates can view the Exam City and Date Intimation on (Link will be published on all RRBs’ official websites shortly and candidates will be informed through their Registered Mobile and e-Mail
ID given in their online application) 09/07/2019
3 Downloading of Travel Pass for SC/ST candidates who have opted for the travel pass on (This is only to make travel arrangements in train and not an E-Call letter)
4 Activation of CBT Mock Test Link 09/07/2019
5 Download of E-Call letter
4 days prior to the CBT date mentioned in Exam city and date intimation

Candidates may login with their credentials on the above mentioned dates through the link to be provided on the official websites of RRBs for knowing their Exam City, Date, Session, downloading Travel Pass (for SC/ST candidates only) and E-Call letter 



2. Application status: The eligibility/ineligibility status of the candidates has already been published on the official websites of RRBs on 07.06.2019.  

CBT Examination Scheme:
Duration of CBT:  90 minutes (120 minutes for all eligible PwBD candidates accompanied with scribe)
Total number of questions 100
Section-wise marks As published in CEN. No: 02/2019 on official websites of RRBs on 04.03.2019 at Para 13.1
Types of questionsad Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
Negative Marking 1/3rd for every incorrect answer

Instructions to the Candidates on Candidate Console Screen

About Question Paper:



  1. The Question paper consists of 100 questions to be answered in 90 minutes. 120 minutes for eligible PWD candidates availing for scribe facility
  2. The questions will be displayed in two languages i.e. in the chosen language during submission of application and English.
  3. Only one question will be displayed at a time on the computer screen.
  4. The questions are of objective type of multiple choices with 4 answer options.
  5. There is 01 mark for each question which will be displayed at the top right hand corner of each screen.
  6. 1/3 Marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  7. If you have any query in question, you can view English version of the question and verify.
  8. Questions in English language will be considered as the final version.
  9. During examination, screen will continuously display the remaining time at its top right hand corner of the Question paper.
  10. The candidates may ask the Invigilator their doubts or questions before the commencement of the examination. No queries shall be entertained after the commencement of the examination.
  11. Rough Sheet will be provided to the candidates for rough work during the test. All the rough sheets need to be returned to the Invigilator before leaving the examination venue.
About Answering Questions:

  1. In order to answer a question, you have to click on the option you think is appropriate/ correct. The option which has been clicked on, will be highlighted and shall be treated as the answer given by you for the question.
  2. If you do not wish to attempt the question then you should not click on any option for that question and may click 'Next'.
  3. You can 'Bookmark' questions to review before submitting.
  4. For saving the response, candidate should mandatorily use "Left Mouse Click"
  5. You can navigate between questions either by clicking on "Previous", "Next" or by directly clicking on the question numbers which are displayed as attempted/un-attempted/bookmarked in the Section wise Summary Report.
About Preview and Submission:

  1. The answers are saved whenever the candidate navigates e.g. by clicking on Next/ Previous button.
  2. The candidates can make changes in their choice of options only before clicking the "Submit" button.
  3. "Done" button will appear only on the last question after 88 minutes have elapsed from the start time of exam.



  4. You have to click on "Done" button to submit the paper.
  5. After the expiry of 90 minutes the candidates will not be able to attempt any question or check their answers.
Candidate can be debarred /disqualified by the Center-In-Charge for any of the following reasons:

  1. Creating a disturbance.
  2. Impersonation - Attempting to take the examination for someone else.
  3. Giving or receiving assistance of any kind during the examination and communication in any form between candidates or with outsiders or gesticulation or disturbance or attempt to change seat / question paper in the examination hall.
  4. Attempting to tamper with the operation of the computer or meddling with system.
  5. Leaving the test center without the permission from the invigilator.
  6. Using prohibited aids, item/s is not allowed, such as: Calculator, Cell Phone, Pieces of Paper, Electronic Diaries, Watch alarm, listening device, recording or photographic devices, or any other unauthorized device.
  7. Attempting to take away examination question/s and /or examination response/s (in any format) from the examination center.
  8. Failing to follow instructions of invigilator or examination center staff.
  9. Manhandling of invigilators or examination center staff.
  10. Any suspicious act by the candidate which, as per the opinion of the examination observer has created an impression of unfairness during the examination
  11. Resorting to unfair means or trying to influence any person duly authorized to conduct the examination, in any way for examination results shall be considered as a serious offence. The candidate shall be liable to have his/her name removed from the list of candidates for the examination and may also be further dealt with in such manner as it may deem fit.
  12. The Chief proctor is authorized to dismiss the candidate/s from the examination center for any misconduct by the candidate/s and his/her decision will be final and binding.
  13. Candidates are advised not to indulge in any malpractice, as the entire examination process is monitored and recorded through CCTV.
